From A Field In Lancashire

I will warn you now, this is unlikely to be an interesting post.
I'm not literally writing from a field in Lancashire, but from my childhood bedroom in my house... surrounded by fields, in Lancashire. I love it here, it's so peaceful and smells so clean and fresh when I've been living in a city for the last two months. I love coming home for a few days to see my family, catch up with friends and just chill.
My baby brother (he's 17, but he'll always be my baby brother) has passed his driving test since last time I was home, so he picked me up from the train station - scary stuff! I spent the afternoon helping my mum cooking then went food shopping with her, where we essentially ran round Asda picking up the 'Whoops!' reduced items in an attempt to make the cheapest meal we could... Which is more fun than it sounds, I promise! And we managed to resist buying them out of reduced cake as well - Will Power Win!
I've spent the rest of the evening watching a documentary about ants with my Dad, including during one battle between colonies the classic quotation from my brother: "I wish they'd wear clothes so I knew which team they're on!" This from the boy who's been known to say things like, "They should make motorbikes with four-wheel drive..." and, "It's see-through! I mean, you can't see through it..."
Now I'm tucked up in bed texting friends arranging to meet for coffee and a catch-up tomorrow - I haven't seen some of them since Christmas so the opportunity to see them again will be lovely, especially since Rosa will be moving to America for a year next week!
And that's all, I will try to have a more interesting post soon, I'm sorry!
Hope you are all well and having fun in this fine British weather...
