Question Time

I've borrowed these questions from the lovely Jessica Mary Munchkin as to me they are a lovely way of letting you hopefully get to know me a little better! Oh, and sorry for the horrifically unimaginative title of this post...

What is your dream job?
This is a tough one. I've been through most of them - when I was very little I wanted to be, amongst others, a fireman, a nurse, a Princess, Beatrix Potter, an archaeologist and a seagull. Between the ages of about 7 and 15 I wanted to be a vet. Now I'm not sure. I'm studying psychology and I'd love to do something that uses that - Clinical Psychology is an option. However I'd also love to run a little independent cake/sandwich shop, and my housemate and I have vague plans of owning a luxury hotel together. So, who knows really?

How do you take your tea/coffee?
I like my coffee black with one sugar as a treat; usually I don't bother. Tea I like brewed for ages but still lots of milk, and one sugar.

What is your most important beauty secret? What's the product you'll continue to purchase? What's your biggest make-up pet peeve?
I don't think I have any beauty secrets I'm afraid! But I do always feel like I look better when I'm eating properly, drinking lots of water and exercising regularly.
A product I'll continue to purchase - Barry M nail paint, cheap and cheerful but also really good quality and I love the range of colours.
My biggest make-up pet peeve is a tie-break between orange foundation and slag lines, although I guess the two kind of go together.

If you had an all expenses paid vacation anywhere, where would you go?
Picking one place is nearly impossible so I'm having a shortlist and you can't stop me!
  • South Africa. I spent a month here a few years back, my Gran's from SA and it's such an amazing, beautiful country with so much potential.
  • Peru. I have an obsession with South American history, I love it and I'd love to visit.
  • Thailand. Not just because I love Thai food, honest.
  • Spain. Because I love sunshine. Simple as that.
  • Italy. Rome, Venice, Pisa, I want to go everywhere in Italy. I may have to dress up like an old man though because Italian men are CREEPY as, in my experience.
If a genie popped in your lap now and offered you three wishes, what would they be?
I'm going to assume wishing for wishes is not allowed, so:
  1. Health and happiness for myself and the people I care about.
  2. Having enough money to be financially secure - for my parents not to have to worry about money any more, for my brother to be able to afford to go to Uni, to be able to buy a nice house and bring up my future kids giving them the best opportunities in life.
  3. I'd quite like just a couple more hours in a day. There never seems to be enough time!
If you could only have breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert foods for the rest of your life, which one would you pick and why?
I don't know. I get the most random cravings. It wouldn't be breakfast because I hate breakfast but seriously, sometimes I just want tuna mayo. Or lemons. Or ice cream. I couldn't pick!

If you had the chance to pick a famous person for your other half to meet, who would you choose?
Terry Wogan. I won't pretend to get the obsession but it'd make him happy, bless him.

If you could only wear one piece of jewellry for the rest of your life what would it be?
Does this include piercings? If so, my lip bar, because I love it. If not... Probably my malachite necklace which I bought in South Africa. I love it.

What one talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could sing. Either that or languages, I love language and I'd love to be fluent in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Afrikaans, I'd love to learn Latin and Ancient Greek...

If you could look in to the future would you? What would you want to know?
I think I'd just like to know that I'm happy. But then I don't need to look into the future to know that I'll be happy, I'm quite good at making decisions to be happy. So I guess I wouldn't bother. Maybe something useful like finding the cure for cancer or AIDS or something.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
I'm having a male and a female. Male - Harry Judd, drummer in McFly. Oooft. Female - Hayley Williams, singer in Paramore. Again, oooft.

What made you start a blog?
A variety of things - my inability to find a summer job to keep myself entertained, the fact that I've enjoyed reading loads of blogs and it's an interesting, rewarding hobby.

So there we go, hopefully you feel like you know me a little better now! Is there anything else about me you'd like to know? xo
