Waffle. Sadly not the Belgian kind.

I still don't really have an awful lot to talk about so I'm sorry if this seems waffley and forced, but I'm trying to get back into the blogging habit as it's something I've really missed the last few weeks!
First of all, if you're taking part in the Blogger's Secret Santa organised by Rani at Cupcake Couture (I think I mentioned it a while ago and I've had the link in my sidebar for ages) then you've probably received an email telling you who your Santee (is that a word!?) is by now. I've had mine and I've got a few ideas, I'm really looking forward to picking some lovely things, making everything look pretty, and posting it off to hopefully put a smile on someone's face!
In other news, doing my weekly shop at Tesco this afternoon I happened to notice a lot of paperback fiction on two for £7.. I tried to resist, I really did, but somehow ended up treating myself to 'One Day' by David Nicholls and 'A Desirable Residence' by Sophie Kinsella writing as Madeleine Wickham.
A Desirable Residence

I've heard a lot of good things about 'One Day' so I've been meaning to pick it up for a while. The Sophie Kinsella number was a bit of an impulse choice, I've only read a couple of her books and none of the popular Shopaholic series. I'll be honest, I was just interested to see if her style is any different writing as Madeleine Wickham than it is as Sophie. On a side note, I don't really get the point of using a pseudonym if you're then going to tell everyone who you actually are? Anyone enlighten me there?
Finally, Glamour magazine at the moment comes with a free nail polish from Nails Inc. in a choice of four shades, worth £11. I went for Basil Street, a pretty nude-y beige type colour, as I had something similar to the other shades, and I have to say I really like it and am wishing I could justify spending £11 on a nail polish... Not to worry eh? But I do highly recommend picking it up if you like the look of any of the shades.
Also, I have developed an addiction to Nature Valley crunchy granola bars, they are AMAZING.
Have any of you guys read these books, picked up one of the free shades with Glamour, or are you taking part in the Bloggers Secret Santa?
