The range consists of four two-step face masks, each aimed at addressing a specific skin complaint, plus a de-clog nose pore strip.
Given that my skin has been truly awful recently, I decided to start with the Break-Out Mask, designed for "problem skin, prone to eruptions" - that's me unfortunately at the moment! The premise of these masks is simple - you get a mask, designed to treat whatever complaint you have, but it comes with a moisturiser to complement it. Obviously you should always moisturise after using a face mask, but this way you (theoretically) continue the benefits. Sounds good to me!
As always, I apply to clean, steamed skin (ta-dah!) and leave for fifteen minutes or so. This smells strongly of Tea Tree, which personally I love, but if you're not so keen this might put you off. It feels cool and tingly on the skin as it dries.
While we wait for the mask to do it's magic, here are my thoughts so far:
I rinsed with lots of warm water and a face cloth, even before moisturising this left my face feeling really soft and smooth, and the wannabe volcano on my forehead was looking distinctly less red.
I then applied the moisturiser which, again, contains Tea Tree Oil and Canadian Willowherb to calm and sooth your face. Like the mask, it feels cool and tingly and you can definitely smell the Tea Tree! This took a little while to work into the skin but there is loads in the sachet so it'll last three or four applications. Overall, I really like this mask and will definitely be re-purchasing. The Skin Heroes range retails at £1.49 each and is available from all the usual places or from the Montagne Jeunesse website!

PS, It's May! When did that happen!?
(This item was provided by PR for a review. As always, all opinions are honest.)
I always have issues with the packets that want you to tear them open. They always get jammed midway so I have to always use the scissors. Is it bad that I'm 25 and never used a face mask?!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds lovely!
