Review: ELF Eye Primer

It's no secret that I have a bit of a love affair going on with ELF. As far as I'm concerned, you can't beat their great prices and good quality products! A few weeks ago, I purchased their Studio Eye Primer and Liner Sealer, and it's become a total staple in my make-up routine - I don't know how I ever lived without it! I should start by saying, I've yet to actually try the liner sealer, but it is definitely love with the primer.

I have oily skin, and without this primer, eyeshadow starts to crease on me within an hour of application. I'd never had a full day's wear out of eyeshadow in my life, until now! You apply this from the stick to the eyelid, blend in, and then apply your eyeshadow as normal over the top. The primer does a fantastic job of really making colours pop, as you can see in my swatch of 'Chopper' from Urban Decay's Naked2 Palette here; over the primer, the colour is exactly as it looks in the pan, meaning you can create much more dramatic looks on the eyes.

Eyeshadow goes on smoothly, blends seamlessly, and lasts for eight hours even on my oily lids - this product is a miracle, I can't recommend it enough and I will 100% be repurchasing when I run out! On the left here, you can see the primer alone - blended on the left and unblended on the right. On the right-hand photo, you can see my typical daytime eye make-up using my Naked2 palette - the colours are more vivid and blend so well over this primer. I wouldn't be without it!

Have you used ELF's eye primer? What's your favourite ELF product?
