Review: Look Beauty Stretch Factor Mascara

As I promised in yesterday's FOTD post, here are my thoughts on Look Beauty's Stretch Factor Mascara, which is available from their website priced at £6. This is what Look Beauty have to say:
"If gorgeously long is your cup of tea, then this is your tube of mascara! Super stay, super long, super sexy, like Lash extensions in a bottle. Tip: Look down into the mirror and wiggle the brush from root to top. Coat the outer corner lashes with the tip of the wand too for extra length."

The concept of this mascara is quite straight forward - it contains small fibres, which are supposed to help lengthen the lashes, hence their tagline, "Lash extensions in a bottle!"
On first impressions, I like the packaging, which is a pretty pale pink colour, quite girly without being tacky or cheap-looking. The brush is of the spiky rubber variety, which I usually prefer over the standard spoolies, so another point in this mascara's favour. This is the shade 'Waterproof Black', but the mascara is also available in 'Black', 'Ultra Black', and 'Brown Black'.

You can see the small fibres in the formula in the second shot of the brush there - the idea is that these adhere to the lashes, adding length and volume. But how does it perform on the lashes? This photo shows one coat applied to my top lashes, and none on the bottom.

Although I like how this looks on my lashes, I don't feel that it lengthens any more than other mascaras - this may be more noticeable to ladies who struggle for length though? Nonetheless, this separates my lashes nicely and is a lovely black colour. My only complaint is that it's a bit of a bitch to remove, probably in part due to being waterproof; even with eye make-up remover I find the little 'fibres' stuck around my eyes the next morning.
Overall, this is a good mascara at a reasonable price, although when repurchasing I think I'll give the Waterproof a miss to see if this makes removal any easier!
Have you tried any Look Beauty cosmetics? Any recommendations?

(Please note, I was sent this mascara free when I placed an order for some other products on the Look Beauty Website. This does not affect my review in any way and, as always, I have given my honest thoughts and opinions!)
