Ulta3 Cosmetics

You may remember that a couple of months ago I received a blog swap parcel from Michelle, a lovely Australian lady who blogs over at Labmuffin. Included in my package was a nail polish and a lipstick by Ulta3; as far as I'm aware this is a brand that's not available in the UK and I've never seen it any shops that I can remember.
The nail polish I received was a beautiful shimmery purple called 'Waterlily'. This applied nicely, with the first coat being somewhat streaky and uneven, as you can see in the first photo below. Two coats was perfectly sufficient for full opacity on most of my nails; a couple required three coats. Finished off with Essie's Good To Go top coat (reviewed here), this is a lovely smooth, glossy polish. It's quite a bright purple, perhaps more suited to autumn than to summer but that won't be putting me off! This actually reminds me of Barry M's Nail Paint in shade 161 'Vivid Purple', would anyone be interested in a comparison post?

Michelle also sent me a lipstick in shade 'Deep Red Rose Matte'. I've only recently started wearing lipstick and mentioned this to Michelle when we were discussing what we'd each like to see in our parcels, so it was kind of her to pick this out for me. This is, as the name suggests, a deep red rose colour with a matte finish. I think it suits me, but it'll definitely have to be saved for days when I'm feeling super-brave!

From these two products, I really like Ulta3, they seem to be good quality cosmetics and I'd definitely try more if the opportunity arose!
Have you ever tried Ulta3 Cosmetics? How was your experience?

(These products were provided as a gift as part of an arranged blog swap. As always, I have given my honest opinions!)
