MUA Dusk Til Dawn Palette

It occurred to me that, although I'm offering an MUA Dusk til Dawn Palette as part of the prize in my 200 follower giveaway, I've never actually blogged about it!

Part of the MUA Professional range, the Dusk til Dawn Palette is priced at £4, and is available from larger Superdrug stores, or directly from MUA's website. Containing 12 eyeshadows in a range of shimmery and glittery shades, MUA claim this palette is, "A versatile collection of eyeshadows that will transform your look from day to night." Including six neutral/nude shades, five darker, more dramatic colours, and one bright turquoise number, this truly is a versatile palette. The nudes can easily be combined and blended to create a subtle, neutral look for daytime wear, whilst the darker shades are ideal for an evening smokey eye, and the turquoise is perfect to add a pop of colour. The swatches below show one swipe over ELF's Eye Primer; as you can see, they're all well pigmented and fairly true to their colours in the palette.

The top row is all shimmery and, from left to right, consists of a champagne, a smokey grey, a cool-toned brown, a cream, a dark taupe, and a pinkish brown. The bottom row contains a shimmery gold and grey, a shimmery turquoise, and three glittery shades in a midnight blue, a deep purple, and graphite.

Pros:
The range of shades offered in this palette and their versatility.
Neat and compact, this palette is ideal for travel and I personally have never had a problem with the packaging.
Cons:
I'd really like MUA to start naming their shades.
I'm not sure that the turquoise shade fits with the rest of the palette and I feel it has limited use; I'd prefer to see another dark, smokey or glittery shade to complement the others.

Overall, this is a palette I find myself reaching for on a regular basis due to its versatility and the fact that it allows easy transformation of a daytime eye to a smokey, more dramatic evening look. Like all MUA eyeshadows, these are soft, well pigmented, and easy to blend. A definite recommendation from me!
Have you tried the Dusk til Dawn palette? Which is your favourite MUA palette?
Also, you may have noticed that my layout and background have had a bit of work done, with some helpful recommendations from Ellie, Jenni, and Sophia. What do you think of my new look!?
