NOTD: Body Collection Crystal Suede 'Mint Breeze'

Today, I'm sharing another NOTD, this time using Body Collections Crystal Suede Nail Lacquer in 'Mint Breeze'. I bought this through sheer intrigue from Bodycare a couple of weeks back for the princely sum of £2.99.
This polish applies smoothly, is pretty much opaque in two coats and completely opaque in three, and dries super-quickly. I didn't have any problems with patchy application or dragging. I'd say Crystal Suede is actually a pretty good name for this polish, which has an expensive-looking sort of matte-glitter finish - a lot like suede but kind of crystal-y. It's really pretty anyway, glittery in a subtle way without being too in-your-face, and smooth to the touch. The colour is lovely too, more of a Seafoam Green than Mint in my opinion, but gorgeous nonetheless. My only issue with this polish is that I'm not sure how well it'll wear, as applying a top coat would ruin the effect. The photos below show three coats with no base coat (naughty naughty!) or top coat. Sorry about the polish all over my cuticles...

Do you own any Body Collection nail polishes? What's your favourite budget polish brand?

  1. That's really nice. I've got a few of these and have to say they are excellent. Hadn't seen the green one in my local shop. In my experience they lasted well. Other Body Collection polishes are pretty good too.

Bodycare also sell Technic which is excellent for the price as well and nice range of colours. I think out of the cheaper brands I'd have to say W7 wins along with 'All About Nails' by Tesco because they are very good quality for the price and some smashing colours too.

    1. I'm definitely going to get some more colours! I love Technic and W7 polishes too, will have to look out for the Tesco ones! xo

  2. I absolutely love this range of polish, I have a deep purple/pink one and a black multi-glittery one called Little Black Dress and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite polishes. On their own they don't really wear well - one to two days max! - but I like to add a topcoat to the tips so it's like a strange manicure. A topcoat totally changes it as well, makes the colour more vibrant and adds so much more depth to the glitter, it's like you're wearing a bajillion kinds at once, you should try it! xxx

    1. Ah that's a really good idea, I'll have to try that! I've chipped one already :( Haha xo
