Top Five | Autumn

We are well and truly into Autumn in Britain now, with the frosty mornings, gorgeous sunsets and crunchy leaves on the ground. I love Autumn, not so much the cooler weather but the colours, smells and fashions are right up my street! These are some of the products I'm loving right now; if I've done a full post on an item, then its name will link through to my review.
1. Aapri Exfoliating Scrub Cream: This is such a bargain, I'm on my second tube with a third in stock. I really love it for helping to keep my skin soft and smooth by buffing away any dry, flakey patches brought on by the weather and by my near-constant nose-blowing. An absolute steal at £1 from Poundland!
2. Carmex Classic Moisturising Lip Balm: Like the rest of my skin, my lips can get pretty dry and flakey in the cooler months. I've been a Carmex fan for years, initially the original potted product, but I soon moved onto these squeezy tubes - I prefer not having to dig around in the pot with my fingers while I'm out and about, and the consistency of the tubed product is slightly thinner, meaning it's absorbed that bit quicker. 10ml will set you back £1.34 at Superdrug.
3. George at Asda Shimmer Me! Shimmering Brush On Powder in 'Heaven Sent': I picked this up on a whim in the supermarket last week and have been loving it ever since; even my Dad has commented on me looking like I've caught the sun. It gives a lovely subtle, summery shimmer and a pretty touch of colour, nothing over the top but enough to stop me looking pale and ill. You get 10g of product for £4.50.
4. Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Replenishing Lotion with Mango: I suffer from Eczema, and even when that's not flaring up I get incredibly dry skin, especially on my legs. I try to use this every day (sometimes twice a day when I'm being really good!) and it's gorgeous, it does a great job of softening my skin and soothing any itchy tightness. This is available from Superdrug, priced at £4.99 for 400ml.
5. TRESemm√© Keratin Smooth Deep Treatment Mask: This is my Holy Grail hair product, I raved about it in my review (which is, incidentally, one of my most-viewed posts of all time and the first review in Google!) and it has honestly been working wonders and helping to keep my hair soft, smooth and manageable when the cold air outside and central heating indoors would normally be wreaking havoc. Boots stock this at £5.50 for 300ml.
What are your must-have items this Autumn? Are you loving any of my favourites too?

  1. I haven't come across any of those brands expect Garnier and TRESemme. I've heard good things about TRESemme but never tried it. Garnier doesn't really work for me but I guess that just goes to show how skin care is something you really need to play around with before you're able to identify your essentials, like you have xoxox

    1. George is a supermarket brand so you probably won't find that outside the UK, I'm not sure about Aapri, but I would have thought you'd be able to get hold of Carmex! Now you mention it, this is the only Garnier product I've ever had any luck with really. TRESemme are for sure my favourite haircare brand though, I seriously love this treatment!! xo
