Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser

I love The Body Shop. This is not a secret. In particular I love their lip butters and their Tea Tree skincare range. The Pore Minimiser was a new addition to aforementioned Tea Tree skincare range and if you'd seen the size of some of my pores, you'll understand why I didn't hesitate to purchase; priced at £7.50 for 30ml, this is essentially a primer to be worn alone or under your make-up.

The claims on the Body Shop's website make this sound pretty perfect. "Our new Tea Tree Pore Minimiser makes pores look smaller. Infused with Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil, it smoothes, primes and mattifies, and leaves skin feeling fresh and pure. Minimises the appearance of pores. Mattifies for a shine-free finish. Leaves skin feeling fresh and pure. Ideal base for make-up."

But does it live up to these claims? I've been trying this out for a couple of months now, and I have to say I really like this product. Although it is, by no means, a miracle product, it definitely does what it says on the tube and I've definitely enjoyed using it; one to re-purchase here!

Packaged in a flat plastic tube which matches the rest of the range with its deep green colour, this is the perfect size for travelling and it's easy to squeeze out just the right amount. The creamy yellowish gel-like cream quickly and easily rubs into the skin, instantly smoothing out pores and providing an airbrush-like effect.

Although my skin is by no means perfect, it does a fantastic job of smoothing over my enlarged pores. As you'd expect, this product has quite a strong tea tree scent, which lasts even once applied to the face, although it fades fairly quickly after that; once I've finished applying my make-up, I can't smell it any more.
Foundation goes on beautifully over the top of this, giving a smooth, healthy appearance. It extends the wear of my make-up and, although I still need powder to achieve a totally matte finish, this definitely helps to ward of some of the shine my oily skin is prone to. Overall, this product is a winner for me and you won't find me without it now! If you like Benefit's The POREfessional, this might be one to try, and it's a fraction of the price.
Have you tried this Pore Minimiser? Do you love The Body Shop's Tea Tree range as much as I do?

  1. I haven't brought anything from the body shop in ages, I used to love it too! This sounds fab, I'm a big fan of Pore Professional so I'll have to give this a go.

    1. It's a lot like the POREfessional but I feel like it's actually helping my skin long-term, with the tea tree, and it's like a quarter of the price! :D xo

  2. I have't tried that. But now, I will definitely try this out :) Thanks for this helpful review :)
Btw,Mind to follow each other? :) Will surely follow back ;)
God Bless and have a great day! :)
