My Skincare Routine: Part One - Morning

I've seen a few 'Skincare Routine' posts around lately and think they're really interesting, especially since I'm super nosey and have a massive amount of love for skincare. Seriously, I think I have some kind of problem. I decided to break my routine down into Morning and Evening, so today's post is the first part of this; the products I use to get myself ready for the day!
Morning Skincare Routine
If I'm having a shower, I'll use either B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser or Superdrug Tea Tree Exfoliating Cream Wash in the shower; both of them freshen the skin nicely, removing any dirt and oil which has built up over night as well as providing light exfoliation, which is a must with my oily skin. Around once a week, I'll use Vichy Normaderm 3-in-1 Cleanser, Scrub & Mask, applying as a mask before I get into the shower and then massaging off under the water for the full exfoliating effect. On days where I've showered the previous evening, I tend to use Superdrug's Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser with a muslin cloth to just freshen my skin, although on occasion I skip this and just wash my face with water. All four of these products are great for waking my skin up and leaving it soft and clean for the day ahead.
I follow my cleansing with Laidbare's Working 9 to 5 Anti-Aging Hydration Cream to plump my skin and leave it soft and ready for my make-up. I've just started using this after finally finishing up my Botanics Shine Away Mattifying Day Cream, so I'll have a review coming in the next couple of weeks.
And that's it! I try to keep my morning routine short and sweet as I don't like faffing when I'm trying to get ready and out the house in as little time as possible.
What does your morning skincare routine involve? What's your favourite daytime moisturiser?

  3. This actually makes me a little embarrassed... a quick rinse with soap and water does me in the morning and a facewipe with moisturiser at night! awful haha! well done you for having the patience for this x

    1. Oh goodness, facewipes make me cringe! I can't imagine how bad my skin would be if I didn't take my makeup off properly!! xo

  4. Tea Tree is amazing for the skin! I sometimes use it but only when necessary because it can cause dryness. It's cool to see it in a cream wash, nice post!

  5. I started to use the Vitamin E Hot Cloth cleanser but it did not get on with my skin at all! Ended up getting rid of it!

    1. Oh what a shame! I don't use it every day as my skin is oily and it's aimed at dry skin, but I've found it really gentle. xo
