My Skincare Routine: Part Two - Evening

A few days ago, I posted Part One of my Skincare Routine: Morning. Today, I'm sharing part two; the steps I take in the evening to remove the day and get myself ready for bed.
Evening Skincare Routine
I start by removing eye make-up with Garnier's Simply Essentials Soothing Eye Make-up Remover. I then use Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm to remove my make-up and any dirt or oil which has built up throughout the day. I remove this twice to be sure that my skin is left feeling soft, smooth, and completely clean. Together, these two products remove every trace of make-up and leave my skin ready for the next stages of my routine. If I'm having a shower, I'll do that after removing my make-up, generally using an exfoliator in the shower as I mentioned in my Morning Routine post.
Next, I apply La Roche-Posay's Redermic R Dermatological Anti-Wrinkle Treatment, which I've been using for the last few days after receiving it as a Try from What's In My Handbag. I leave this to soak in for a couple of minutes, usually whilst I brush my teeth. I then apply Alpha-H Absolute Eye Complex to my eye contour area, and Witch Blemish Stick to any red blemishes, to help calm and shrink them overnight. I apply Laidbare's Spot The Difference over my forehead, cheeks and chin to help prevent spots appearing, then finish with Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturiser with White Tea; this isn't the best moisturiser I've ever used and I find it a little bit too heavy for my oily skin, but it smells lovely and does do a good job of hydrating my skin. I then drag myself into bed, where I apply lip balm and cuticle oil when I remember, and generally fall fast asleep!
What's your evening skincare routine like? Do you always remember to take off your make-up? Can you recommend a good night cream for oily skin?

  2. Great routine. Have you ever tried the Elemis Maximum Replenish Night Cream? It worked wonders for my combination skin!

  3. oh how is going Redermic R for you? I've been itching to try it out!
As a night cream I tend to use a more harsh cream with AHA or benzyl peroxide but I do have acne so.
