I was recently contacted by the lovely people at JACAVA London and asked if I'd like to try a bottle of their nail polish - you know me, ever the nail polish junkie, I of course jumped at the opportunity, opting for the beautiful shade '
Blueberry Muffin'*. JACAVA London proudly claim their nail polish is "8-free", meaning it does not contain Formaldehyde, Tolulene, Camphor, DBP, Phthalates, Parabens, or Cellophane, and is not tested on animals - meaning it's vegan-friendly! 'Blueberry Muffin' is described as, "
A delectable lilac purple coloured nail polish", which is exactly what it is.

I really like the bottle, which is an unusual shape and different to anything else I own, whilst the long handle gives a good amount of control as you apply the polish - although I admit it's a little awkward for my Glossybox nail polish storage! The brush is good quality and holds a good amount of polish meaning you can easily paint each nail without having to dip back into the bottle. The polish went on smoothly over my usual base coat of
OPI's Nail Envy, and dried reasonably quickly; the first coat was a little patchy, as you can see in the first photo below, but two coats gave a beautiful smooth, even colour which dried to a glossy finish. I then finished off with
JACAVA London's Top Coat*, shown in the last pair of photocenter, which I'll review separately once I've had a bit more time to put it to the test properly.

JACAVA London nail polish is currently available to buy direct from
JACAVA London, and also from
FeelUnique and
Amazon
, with an RRP of £14.50 for 12ml. With a choice of 17 shades (plus the base & top coat), the range is limited but does cover most bases; whilst I'd like to see a greater choice of colours, your classics are there.
Have you heard of JACAVA London? Have you ever tried their nail polish? Which is your favourite shade?
