I recently received this Milani Glimmer Stripes in the shade 05 'Honey Glimmer' as part of a giveaway prize from the lovely Louise over at
LouLouLand; since then, I've been enjoying using the product as a super-versatile part of my make-up routine. The Glimmer Stripes consist of five strips of pressed powder pigment; in this case, you get a matte white, and then four shimmery shades; a cream, a light gold, a deeper gold, and a brown flecked with gold. These are nicely packaged all together in a gold plastic compact with a clear lid, so you can easily see the shades contained within.

The matte white is a little on the chalky side and not super-pigmented, but the other four shades are all really nice to work with, smooth and soft, well-pigmented, and blending nicely. I've been using this product pretty much every way you can imagine; the shimmery cream is a gorgeous highlighting shade for the inner corners of the eyes or the browbone, the three gold-toned shades are beautiful used individually on the eyes and can of course be blended together for a more dramatic smokey look, and all five shades swirled together make a really lovely highlighter which is perfect for sweeping over the nose and forehead to brighten up the face and add a little colour. This is super handy for travelling as I can just take this one compact, as opposed to separate eyeshadows and highlighters; I'd even use it in place of blusher in a pinch, as it does brighten the face up really nicely.
I've used the Glimmer Stripes here swirled together as a highlight/bronzer across my cheekbones, down my nose, on my browbones, and in the centre of my forehead. I've also applied the fourth shade with a damp brush as an eyeliner, which I absolutely love. I apologise for the odd faces I'm pulling in some of these photos; the best of a bad bunch is all I have to say on that matter.

I believe Louise found this particular Glimmer Stripes in Poundland, so if you like the look of it that might be a good place to start, as long as you're happy buying cosmetics from such places; otherwise,
this seller on eBay has one, but since Milani aren't widely stocked in the UK you might unfortunately struggle to get hold of it.
Have you tried any of the Milani Glimmer Stripes? What do you think to products like these?

These reminds of Bobbi Brown's. They are beautiful though, and Milani has a lot of products that are value for money and of great quality! I really love their gold looking shade =D
