Today is an exciting post for me; my first ever NOTD post featuring an indie polish, the beautiful 'Embankment' from Tara's Talons' Happy New Year collection. You may remember I posted an interview with the lovely Tara of Tara's Talons back in September, where she told us about her creative processes; I promised myself at the time that I would be treating myself to some of Tara's polishes as soon as possible and that's exactly what I've done! I found this polish applied beautifully, with the brush being really easy to work with and the polish lovely and smooth. I didn't have to fish for the glitter at all, and the only repositioning I did was when I got a large chunk of glitter hanging over the edge of a nail. 'Embankment' is a pretty pearly green base containing large green circle, small and medium green and gold hex, and teal star glitters. It really is packed with glitter meaning it looks really striking on the nails; below you see three coats of 'Embankment' over a base of my usual Nail Envy, with two coats of JacavaLondon's topcoat over it to smooth off the bumpiness a little.
I've really enjoyed wearing this and I've had so many compliments and people asking me where it's from, too! I've also found that (especially for a glitter polish) it lasted really well, with not a single chip following my (last ever!) shift at Debenhams, which is impressive. 'Embankment' is available to purchase from Tara's Etsy shop, priced at £6.50 for 10ml. Have you ever bought polish from an indie brand? Would you like to in the future? What do you think of 'Embankment'?
