Scrapbooking

This is something a little different, but something I've been meaning to share for a few weeks now; I've started a scrapbook this year as I really want a kind of record of what I get up to, I think it'll be really lovely to look back on in years to come. I ordered my scrapbook off eBay as I found pretty much the perfect one; the one I have is £10.95 for the A4 size here if you like the look of it - you can choose what you want it to say on the front, I just went for the year so that I can add to it as time goes on!
My Scrapbook 2015
I've added the lace ribbon and little dots of glitter so far, but I plan to add more to the front cover as the year goes on, to really personalise it. I'm half-planning to do some kind of collage on the back, too, but I'm not sure about that yet! Inside I've really just covered my recent trip to Milan so far; I ordered a load of photos and have spent a few evenings with my friend working on our scrapbooks, putting things into chronological order and adding in receipts, tickets and whatnot. (Please ignore any mistakes in my attempts at Italian!) I'm really pleased with the way it's coming together and I'm looking forward to adding in more of my adventures as the year goes on! I've still got a few spaces to fill when I get around to ordering more photos, as well...

I've been using a lot of washi tape to add accents to my pages, you can see my post on five uses for washi tape if you'd like some more ideas for ways to use pretty tapes! I was also recently very kindly sent this roll of stickers* from Born Pretty Store which I've added in to this page; I know it's in French and the page is about Italy, but I think it looks really nice and I'll definitely be adding it to other pages - I might even pop one on the front cover, who knows!? As an aside - how pretty is the little box they come in?!
Born Pretty Store Stickers
I didn't realise Born Pretty stock stationery until quite recently, but they have a lovely range of cute bits & pieces at great prices - this roll of stickers is just £1.76 here; there are several colours available, although the colour you receive is chosen at random. Remember you can get 10% off anything on Born Pretty with my discount code 'JESSMK31' if any of the stationery (or anything else!) catches your eye!!

Do you keep a scrapbook? Where is your favourite place to get supplies? Would anyone be interested in a scrapbook series where I share pages I've completed every so often? Do let me know!!

  1. Yay for scrapbooking! I've been documenting mine and Jon's relationship for the last 10 years. My scrapbook was bought from WOOLWORTHS of all places :-)

Im currently about 4 years behind though - currently working through the uni years (II can't believe it's so long ago).

Most of my supplies come from hobbycraft which isn't very original but they have absolutely everything you could ever want. I also go to independent craft stores but they are usually more expensive for obvious reasons.

My biggest scrapbooking tip though is to use spray adhesive. It's the best invention ever!

    1. Aw that's lovely Em! I bet it's really hard to keep up with something like that as it's often the little everyday things you'd want to document, I imagine? There isn't a Hobbycraft local to me but I'll have to check out their website - thanks for the tip!! xo

  5. I started scrapbooking this year too. Mine doesn't look as creative and colourful as yours though! I mainly want to capture all the gigs I've been to and holidays I've been on. Thanks for the link to the stationary store - I need it!

    1. I think that's something you can go back and add in as and when you have time, to be honest - the main thing is to get your memories down! :) xo

  7. Aww, your scrapbook is adorable! It's something I'd love to do but know I;m too unorganised - I know I'd leave it for months and never be able to catch up!

    1. Aw thanks Kel! I've not been great at keeping up with mine either, but I've found just shoving tickets and bit & pieces in an envelope means it's all there together when I get chance :) xo
