L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation | This was a grower for sure (I hated it at first!) but it gives such a beautiful coverage and I love the velvety finish on my skin! Once I realised it hated every primer I owned and is best applied onto bare skin (with plenty of moisturiser), I fell in love quite quickly. It's a full coverage but, whilst I can definitely feel it on my face, it isn't mask-like or suffocating on my skin.
Lacura CC Cream | Because a girl's gotta have options when it comes to her base! I love this CC cream for a decent coverage that somehow manages to feel super light on the skin, yet still lasts well even on my oil-slick of a face.
Benefit High Beam | It was a close call between this and Sun Beam, but High Beam just pipped it to the post as it's more wearable year-round, whereas I only tend to reach for Sun Beam in the summer. I love the way a liquid highlight can brighten up the whole face and give such a healthy "glow".
Collection Sheer Loose Powder | I honestly don't know how many jars of this I've been through; it's cheap and cheerful but does the job really well for me, setting my foundation and any other liquid/cream products, and helping to keep oil at bay for at least a few hours.

NARS Douceur Blusher | I'm trying to be a bit more sparing with this lately after learning that it's been discontinued (sob!) but I love it. It's perfect either as a really natural flush of colour to the cheeks, or blended under the cheekbones as a contour shade. I seriously need to find a dupe for this as I hate to think of being without it. Suggestions on a postcard (or in the comments!) please!
GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Stick in 'Beige' | I love this either on its own all over my lids for a really pretty shimmery look without being too over-the-top (it's very work-safe!), or as a base for powder shadows; it makes other colours pop really well, and holds my shadow in place all day. It's super handy, too, in its scribble-on crayon format.
Makeup Revolution x British Beauty Blogger Fortune Favours The Brave Palette | I keep saying this is my favourite palette of 2016 so far and that's not changed yet! It's just such a beautiful, wearable selection of shades, with something for all occasions, and the quality is fab.
Mascara | Mascara is the product I'm least loyal to; I will literally just buy a new launch or whatever is on offer - I don't have a favourite that I'll purchase over and over. I'm quite lucky in that my lashes are naturally quite long, thick and curly, so really I just need my mascara to be nice and black, add a bit of definition, and not flake or smudge all over my face.

What would you choose if you could only keep ten make-up products? Would any of your choices be the same as mine? I'd love to know if you've done a similar post!

I know that I most definitely could not just pick 10, I would struggle to pick just 10 lipsticks x
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Douceur was discontinued, I love that shade! Madly is great replacement for it though :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I could choose just 10 products! NARS blushers are gorgeous - I'm yet to try orgasm though shamefully. That Make Up Revolution palette looks amazing too.

After just creating a post featuring 79 items I think I would find it difficult to pick 10 only however I think if I did NARS and Charlotte Tilbury, also Dior would feature :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right that NARS blushes are just gorgeous!

So great to see which of your products you actually use every day and buy over and over again!
ReplyDeleteI love Lacura BB cream too. Aldi are wizards! I simply would have to have 8 hour cream in my collection though, I use it for everything! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh looks like a difficult decision. On the other handa couple of my makeup products popped into my head reading this post, which shows what I depend on the most I guess...
