• Clear my overdraft.
• Get a full-time, paid Assistant Psychologist post.
• Read at least 25 books.
• Streamline my make-up collection.
• Keep looking after my health.
• Make time for friends.

I'm making definite progress on this one! It's hard, I'm not going to lie, but I think I'm on track to just about make it by the end of the year! I've been trying to set myself smaller goals each month to break it down into manageable chunks, which has been helping. I've paid off what I owed my Dad from buying my car last year, now, so I'll have a bit more money each month to put towards this.
Career.
I can tick this off already! I'm just waiting on criminal records clearance and the like to start my first-ever paid, full-time Assistant Psychologist job - I'm so excited! Four years of hard work after completing my degree, I finally feel like I'm on the path I want to be on.

I need to pull my finger out on this one, for sure! My little list in my phone tells me I've read a grand total of five books so far this year. Gosh. I really need to up my game here! I knew I was behind but I hadn't realised quite how far behind I was. I'm currently in the middle of The Girl In The Spider's Web which I'm enjoying, but I seem to struggle to find the time to read these days. Sad face.
Streamlining.
I've had a bit of a clear-out of my make-up and thrown away a few palettes and lipglosses that I'd had for too long and/or never used, but I definitely need to have another go at this. I have way more make-up than I use and frankly, having so much stuff is becoming quite stressful, so I do need to set aside a couple of hours to have a good sort through my collection and decide what to keep and what to let go of.

I've been keeping up my gym membership, swimming two or three times each week as well as using the cross trainer, stepper and weights... I've also recently started running again with the aim of completing a 10km Total Warrior event at the start of August in under 90 minutes. We'll see how that goes, but I'm quite pleased with how active I've been being lately. This may drop off over the next few weeks while I get into a routine with my new job, but hopefully I'll be able to find a new routine that works for me sooner rather than later!
Friends.
I think I've been doing okay with this one. I've been setting myself the goal of seeing friends at least twice each month; some months I've smashed that target, and other months I've only just met it, but I have met it every month so far! It's a bit of a funny one as my friends are quite spread out in different groups, so even if I've seen a couple of groups of friends a few times recently, there's always someone who I haven't seen in ages. Anyway, I've been making an effort, and I'm glad I have.
I'd love to hear how you're getting on with your goals for the year, if you set any! Do you look back at your goals regularly, or do you tend to wing it and see how you got on at the end of the year?
