When the lovely folks over at
Balance Me offered to send me some goodies as part of their #SpritzOclock campaign, I could hardly say no! I loved the sound of their new Skin Bright Toning Mist*, as dullness is something I struggle with frequently, and I've been wanting to try a facial mist for quite some time. I was sent the Toning Mist alongside a Vita Coco Coconut Water, with the idea being to hydrate from the inside as well as the outside... I tried, but unfortunately I still don't like coconut water! That aside, how have I been getting on with the Toning Mist over the last couple of weeks!?
Facial mists seem like the perfect summer product; what could be more refreshing, right!? Right! Balance Me describe the Skin Bright Toning Mist as, "
A super fine toning mist designed to tighten pores and leave complexions replenished, perfectly balanced and instantly plumper thanks to a cooling shot of hyaluronic acid. Spray onto cleansed skin to tone, over make-up to fix or simply use throughout the day whenever your skin needs a refreshing burst of hydration."
The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous rose scent of the mist as I spritzed it over my face; I generally find only one or two sprays (with my eyes and mouth firmly closed!) is plenty to refresh my face. I've mainly been using this in the morning, after cleansing and before moisturising, for an added dose of hydration; I've also tried it over make-up and, whilst it wouldn't be enough to set mine on my mega-oily skin, I didn't find it to disturb my make-up or anything like that, which means it's equally lovely used throughout the day to refresh my face. I don't think two weeks is enough time to really notice any serious effects of a skincare product, and I have to admit I'm dubious as to how much it can do to tighten pores (
pores are not doors, after all!), but I do feel like it's nice for a quick, refreshing dose of hydration which would be enjoyed by all skin types. My only gripe, really, is that the lid isn't very secure - so often, when I absent-mindedly pick the bottle up by the lid in the morning, I end up dropping it on my foot as the lid comes off in my hand... A minor concern, I'm sure you'll agree!
Balance Me's Skin Bright Toning Mist is priced at £12.50 for 30ml of product
here; I think that makes it sound expensive when in fact, by virtue of being a facial mist rather than a "traditional" toner which you'd use on a cotton pad, it will last ages. I've been using mine a couple of times most days for the past fortnight and I can still tell when I shake the bottle that it's quite full!
If you like the sound of it, you can enter to win the Skin Bright Toning Mist, along with some Vita Coco goodies, by tweeting @balancemebeauty when your #SpritzOclock would be - details

This sounds great for a summertime pick-me-up - especially when I've just got off a sweaty tube!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm personally a huge fan of Coconut water! The spray mist seems like it'd be a nice quick fix when the UK summer kicks in and it gets very clammy in the air
ReplyDeleteI have only tried the Jurlique facial mists but this sounds really nice too and like it might have a similar scent, thanks for sharing x

ReplyDeleteThis would be amazing to have on hand for anything. Summer, winter or I would even take it with me to the hospital in my bag for when I have baby! Thanks so much for sharing. Im going to get some!

ReplyDeleteI quite like the sound of this, it has been a while since ive used anything from Balance Me now x
ReplyDeleteI love learning about new natural and organic skincare products! The coconut water...well, I don't really like the taste of the VitaCoco one much either, but its really nice with a couple Tbs of mango or peach juice stirred in. Or you can throw it in the blender with some frozen strawberries and get something yummy to drink with all the health benefits of the coconut water.
ReplyDeleteThis toning mist sounds lovely. x

ReplyDeleteOooh I'm so tempted-I really need a new toner and I like the fact that it's a mist. I also have really oily skin so I think this would be ideal for me. I've only ever tried a free sample of the brand before that was in a magazine and I was so impressed.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I've heard of a toning mist, but I really like the idea quite a bit! I'd be more likely to use it because it's so easy to apply.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a lovely product.. thanks for sharing
