I received a full-sized Ciaté nail polish in my February
Glossybox; 'Fade to Greige' is described as a "
violety-grey hue which is both modern and flattering, plus it won't drain pale skin like so many grey-toned polishes do." Generally speaking, I really like Ciaté polishes; not only are the bottles super-pretty, with the little bows, but the wide, flat brushes make application so quick and easy, and the polishes dry to a gorgeous glossy finish.
'Fade to Greige' isn't a shade I would have chosen for myself, as I tend to favour brighter shades or pastels for my nails - I rarely pick neutrals, somehow! I think it's an odd choice for a February box as it's a shade I'd associate more with A/W than S/S, but that might just be me. That aside, it's perfectly opaque in two coats, and dried quickly to a super-glossy finish without the need for a separate top-coat.I do quite like the shade now it's on my nails - I think it looks quite chic and the purple tone to it means it's quite flattering even on my pale skin.
Ciaté's 'Fade to Greige' is available
direct from their website, priced at £9 for 13.5ml of product, which is a bit more than I'd usually spend on nail polish. However, I think Ciaté's polishes are really lovely in terms of formula and, of course, packaging, so they do make a nice treat if you fancy splashing out! Have you tried any Ciaté nail polishes? Do you like the look of 'Fade to Greige'?

I love Ciate polishes, and I am loving the purple tinge of this colour. I wonder if it is suitable for all skin tones. Your mani looks great! x
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful colour and one I tend to opt for when I do my nails x
ReplyDeleteLove the shade. You are right, their nail polish cost more then others but they are well worth it.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteThat colour is SO amazing.
This is going to sound so odd but it really suits your hands !!!!!!!
That is a great colour, and your nails look great I must admit. I've used Ciat before and the nail polish is fab
ReplyDeleteI really like this shade :) xx
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lush colour. Looks like you get good coverage too. I dont know of its just me but i often find violet and purple colours need lots and lots of coats to look really thick and glossy. This looks fab.
ReplyDeletelovely colour! i really need to start getting subscription boxes because they all look so good. But I work for Superdrug and get a 30% discount so kind of defeats the object of getting more beauty products.
ReplyDeleteI love this color! Very unusual. I need to grow back my nails and stop biting them!
ReplyDeleteI really love that colour. Gosh I hasn't brought any Ciate nails polish for so long. It look elegant and sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour, I bought one similar called vintage plum from Barry M (I love their vintage shades) but it just doesn't suit me. I seem to suit greys and very dark colours, I think it's my skin tone.
ReplyDelete- Your nails have a gorgeous shape.
I only ever wear red nail polish, but I totally love that colour, really need to think outside my nail polish box!
ReplyDeleteLove Ciate so much - this colour is amazing
